Corrugated Cardboard

Cardboard boxes should be collapsed and placed in a specially designated area on each floor for removal. The ability of the janitorial staff to handle box removal while carrying out their regular duties is limited, though. Quantities of boxes greater than those related to normal office use - typically less than 5 or 6 - should be taken down to the loading dock by the tenant. If necessary, arrangements can be made for building staff to collapse and take larger quantities of boxes to the loading dock with the time required being charged back to the tenant concerned.

Please note: Uncollapsed cardboard boxes containing materials such as sytrofoam, paper, etc. are not removed from the tenant area by the janitorial staff. All cardboard boxes should be emptied and collapsed.

Kitchen Waste

All food waste should be securely double bagged, taken to the loading dock and neatly piled below the sign on the north wall of the loading dock. Protective coverings must be used on the freight elevator floor when moving bags of kitchen waste.

Contruction Waste

Construction waste up to a maximum of 5 bags of non-hazardous materials will be removed by the waste removal company if securely bagged, taken down to the loading dock and neatly piled under the sign for regular garbage. Larger quantities of construction waste and all hazardous materials and flammable liquids, should be taken away by the contractor. Scheduling for delivery and removal of a garbage container at the loading dock, if needed, should be made with the Building Superintendent.

Special Arrangements

If building staff is required for any of the above, please contact the Building Superintendent. Arrangements will be made for the work to be performed, with the time required for such tasks charged back to the Tenant concerned.
